GrantForward is a funding opportunity database and search engine, available free of charge to all Stanford affiliates. Set up a profile once, and GrantForward matches opportunities to your publications, CV, and research interests.

1. Log in

Log in with your SUNet ID

Use your Stanford email address. Logging in unlocks the full feature set, including saved searches, alerts, and personalized recommendations.

2. Create your Researcher Profile

Your profile is what powers grant recommendations. GrantForward uses your publications and CV to match opportunities to your work, so this step is worth the time.

3. Run your first search

Search by keyword, then narrow results with filters for sponsor, deadline, award amount, and eligibility. Save the search and GrantForward will alert you when new matching opportunities are posted.

Troubleshooting

I signed up for GrantForward before Stanford implemented Single Sign-On, and I cannot log in.

You may have a duplicate but incomplete account. Email rdo-funding-programs@stanford.edu and we will have your accounts merged.

I am logged in but not receiving grant recommendations.

Recommendations are generated from your Researcher Profile. If you have not created one yet, start with How to Use GrantForward.
