Recent Policy Updates

Updated definition of Industry Sponsored Clinical Trials.

Updated 2 C. Patent and Copyright Agreement: Stanford Form SU-18.

Housekeeping updates and statement removal regarding the original Stanford Certification must be provided to the Office of the Dean of Research.

Updated to include Good Clinical Practices as Mandated by the NIH.

Mostly minor changes, but most notable include:

• added non-capital ET changes in same award as exception
• added refunds and credits as exception. SECTION 4B (Documentation):
  • Quantified “large transfers”
  • Added additional documentation requirements for large, late or early/late transfers
  • Added examples of acceptable documentation for these transfers (BI and FFIT reports)

Changes to Graduate Financial Support based on memo.

Changed title to Preparation and Submission of Proposal Budgets. Added requirement for those with University Research to take PI Training. Updated cost sharing section to be consistent with the Cost Sharing Policy.

Updated Determination of Human Subjects form in section 5 and Related Items.

Approved by leadership of Office of Technology Licensing. Added to Section 3.A 3 2) that clinical trial research ends at Stanford, and or when the license is terminated, or the product which was the subject of the clinical trial is no longer being developed by a licensee/sublicensee.
