This program will identify and analyze supply chains of transshipment routes that are used to evade U.S. laws that prohibit the importation of goods made with forced labor. In cases where transshipment concerns are identified, the program will support the private sector in identified supply chains to develop standard protocols to monitor, respond to, and prevent transshipment of goods made with forced labor within their supply chains. The program will also provide tailored analysis to DRL for use State Department and other USG stakeholders to inform trade policy. The program may also increase workers’ awareness of labor rights, freedom of association, and grievance and remediation mechanisms so they are better equipped to exercise workers’ rights and counter exploitative labor practices.
