This grant is tailored for tenure-track faculty members in their first to fourth year at United States institutions, holding M.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees. It aims to support these early-career scientists in establishing their research projects to a point where they can secure NIH R01 or other independent funding. Faculty must be engaged in basic and translational research that has the potential to make fundamental advances in biomedical science.
